Anglican Church parish have created a Community Cafe, Limestone Art Gallery and a Cornish Garden at the Anglican Church at the corner of Taylor Street and Hay Street Kadina . Run by volunteers the Community Cafe provides snacks and light lunches Tuesday to Friday 10 am to 2.30 pm. The Limestone Gallery features various artists and are hung on the cafe's historic church limestone walls. The church is also open to the public through the cafe. The Cornish Garden is a community space where you can relax and see, touch and smell the variety of plants and shrubs.
The Copper Coast Miniature Train Rides usually runs on the first and third Sunday of the month between 10 am and 3 pm. (With last runs commencing at around 2.30pm) Although small, the train is suitable for all ages to enjoy. Covered footwear is required.
The Kadina Heritage Drive starts at the old railway station water tower with its painted mural and is a leisurely drive of about 12 kilometres which can be completed in one to two hours. The trail gives visitors an impression of the history and development of Kadina and the surrounding settlements. Drop into the Copper Coast Visitor Information Centre at 50 Mines Road, Kadina for a copy of the drive.
The Yorke Peninsula Home Grown Trail offers you a behind-the-scenes view as locals welcome you to their farms and businesses. Discover their produce and products and share their working lives. They'll show you what they do and how they do it, getting things grown, harvested, and taken to the world. Participants, most offering tours by appointment include; Alpacas Chaparral at Minlaton, Baker Bros. Gallery at the Top Shop, Warooka, Barachel Alpacas at Wool Bay, Barley Stacks Wines at Maitland, Ducatoon Park Horse Stud at Kadina, Orrie Cowie Merino Stud at Warooka, Pacific Estate Oysters and Southern Yorke Oysters both at Stansbury and Sunny Hill Distillery, Arthurton. At the Farm Shed Heritage Museum, Kadina interpretive displays bring together the farming stories that have been growing for the last 50 years. Yorke Peninsula is renowned for its innovation in dryland farming machinery and techniques. The stump-jump plough was just the beginning! See it in action on the screen in the land clearing display and don't miss 'Her Side of the Story' about women on farms. The early history of Wallaroo Mines and the Kadina Township is included along with Matta House. Matta House is the original mine manager's residence which built in 1863. The house still has a shingle roof and is furnished to reflect the height of the mining era. A schoolroom refurbished to its 1950s origins is a favourite with school groups. Guided tours are available for groups, please call Copper Coast Visitor Information Centre to arrange this. A wheelchair, walking frame and mobility scooter are available to use within the museum, please call to ensure availability.
The Water tower in Frances Terrace Kadina has a mural painted by artist Resio, depicting an image of a young maypole girl signifying the Cornish history of the area holding copper and wheat, a steam engine representing the rail line that ran alongside the tower and poppies for a soldier memorial. The Kadina CBD Chamber of Commerce received a grant from Fund My Idea for the mural which was completed in 2018. Part of the Kadina and Yorke Peninsula's Art Trails
Bews fountain was erected in 1892 in memory of David Bews. Bews had been Mayor and was the State Member of Parliament for Wallaroo at the time of his death. He worked hard for and was responsible for bringing reticulated water to Kadina (also Moonta and Wallaroo) from the Beetaloo Reservoir in 1890. The fountain is located in Victoria square.

The Discovering Historic Kadina Town Walk takes in many historical sites including the Kadina Town Hall, Victoria Square Rotunda, churches, hotels and banks. The trail starts and finishes at the Kadina Town Hall and gives visitors an impression of the history and development of the town. Drop into the Copper Coast Visitor Information Centre, located at 50 Mines Road, Kadina, for a copy of the walk.

The Wallaroo Mines Band Rotunda can be found within The Farm Shed Museum grounds as one of the exhibitions at 50 Mines Road after being relocated from the Kadina Showgrounds in 1975, its home for 50 years. The Rotunda was first erected next to the Wallaroo Mines Institute by the Wallaroo and Moonta Mining Company for the miners' Federal Brass Band and was declared open in 1905. In 1915 is was moved to the nearby Mines Recreation Ground.
The Kadina Skatepark is a popular and well-designed site, with four foot quarters, banks and a pyramid, the skate park caters for a range of different skill levels. Popular with visitors to the town and locals, the Kadina Skatepark offers a range of facilities which will keep the keen skateboarder or bike rider amused for hours.
The Kernewek Lowender Art Prize Collection is a collection of art works purchased from 1977 onwards during the biennial Kernewek Lowender- Copper Coast Cornish Festival Art Prize. The collection comprises some early pieces of work from some now well known artists. The collection is based on the judge's selections from each year with the works representing the variety and diversity of the judges. The Collection is on permanent display except when the Cornish Festival is celebrated in May biennially (odd years). During this time the submitted Art Work for the current festivals Art Prize is displayed for judging. Housed in the historic Ascot Theatre you will enjoy the collection and other elements of this community space.
Numbers are limited to 19 children each session , each child, including under 12 months, is then able to have only 1 parent/carer each in most instances. Children are not able to be in the centre without an accompanying adult. Please book online or phone 8821 2333 to ensure a place/s are available to avoid the disappointment at arriving to find no spaces available. Two time slots are available, 10 am to 1 pm and 1 pm to 4 pm. You can enter any time during this 3-hour session but it does finish at the designated time. (You can book for a session up until an hour before a session finishes) Limited chairs and tables available due to social distancing. If anyone in your group is unwell please do not visit the Centre. No food or drink is able to be brought in to the Centre (water bottles ok) and there will be limited numbers able to be in the Centre. Ice-creams and drinks are available to purchase. Members of Copper Country Keepsakes artisans group provide an extensive and exciting range of handcrafted quality art, craft, home decor and country gift items for sale with friendly service in their Gift Gallery. The emphasis is on originality, with a high standard of workmanship. Copper Country Keepsakes supports local charitable organisations and has been operating for more than 20 years. It is caretaker for The Ascot Community Exhibition Gallery adjacent to the gift shop with a different exhibition each month. Contact Copper Country Keepsakes to see what exhibition will be on on when you will be visiting. A community lounge area is also available for rest and relaxation.
New Town Playground, Kadina is a great area for kids to come and spend some time with lots of different areas to play. Facilities include: play equipment, BMX Track, basketball ring, bbq, seats, tables and chairs, public toilet, shelter, OPAL bike racks and drinking fountain. Large open grassed area for ball games.
The Walk in the Trees adventure playground is located among the trees in Kadina's Victoria Square. A net allows you to climb up to the top of the tower and you can then walk up in the trees on the platform across to the second tower and then slide back down to the ground.
The Ray Robinson Military Memorial Museum houses a fine collection of First and Second World War and Vietnam military memorabilia and was built using government grants and with council assistance. Opening outside Tuesdays and Wednesday morning available by appointment. This collection is continually being added to by donations and loans of militaria. Also on the premises is a restoration workshop. It is here that members have restored various military items such as a First World War cannon, a First World War gun tractor and a jeep. A memorial rose garden dedicated to servicemen who have passed, is located at the front of the museum.
Matta Matta House was built in 1863 and is located at 50 Mines Road, Kadina as part of the exhibitions at The Farm Shed museum and was built for Edward Horn who was the manager of the Matta Matta Mine. This was short lived (1860-1870) and a succession of families lived in the house up until 1966 when it was bought from the Cock family after the Rotary Club of Kadina and Yorke Peninsula Field Days provided money so that it could be preserved as a museum. Matta House has been refurbished to the late Victorian period when the local copper mining industry was at its peak. Please allow at least an hour for your visit.
